Clutch poverty like a treasure, for only in our emptiness can we be filled. — yours truly
Pray, hope, and don’t worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer. — Padre Pio
Stumbled across this radio show a few months back, and was literally stunned: RadioLab. An entirely different sound, and an entirely different format.
In this video above, you get to see some behind-the-scenes. But I’d recommend you catch them on the airwaves, via podcast, or online.
The first show I caught, and was mesmerized by: “The Good Show”, especially the sub-segment, “One Good Deed Deserves Another”.
Hope you enjoy! :)
Message From Your Heart - Kina Grannis I wasn’t aware that this video is what started her music career. I’ve previously linked to another of her songs here, and if you’re interested to hear her backstory, checkout her TEDx talk. Don’t forget about ‘your most precious body part’ that ‘takes blood and makes art’, bom bom bom bom …
It can be a challenge to find wallets that aren’t actually bulky by design. The folks over at Bellroy seem to have gotten it right with their line of simple wallets, which look really neat. Their Card Sleeve Wallet (pictured above) particularly caught my attention – complete video and writeup at the link.

53, makers of the award-winning iPad app called Paper, have partnered with the folks at Moleskine, to allow you to print out your digital sketchbooks.
Paper … to digital … to paper. Or as I like to call it: there and back again.
This ties into an observation I’ve been recognizing: technological transition is not necessarily to digital (i.e. one way), but removing the barriers between the digital and analog worlds, so that ideas and information move seamlessly back and forth between the two.
Additional anecdotal evidence: Evernote’s latest announcements, including enhanced partnerships with Moleskine, Post-It, ScanSnap, and more.
“The award-winning author-illustrator–a former architect and junior high school teacher–is perfectly poised to be the Great Explainer of the whirrings and whizzings of the world of machines, a talent that landed the 1988 version of The Way Things Work on the New York Times bestsellers list for 50 weeks. Grouping machines together by the principles that govern their actions rather than by their uses, Macaulay helps us understand in a heavily visual, humorous, unerringly precise way what gadgets such as a toilet, a carburetor, and a fire extinguisher have in common.”
This looks really neat, and interesting to both adults and kids alike.
